Biography
Taha is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the Computational Health Informatics group, led by David Clifton. His research focuses on developing digital biomarkers for patients with autoimmune diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. More broadly, he is interested in generative models and their applications in healthcare.
Prior to joining the University of Oxford, Taha obtained his PhD from the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Chris Williams. His thesis proposes probabilistic data type inference methods for tabular data, which was carried out as a part of the Artificial Intelligence for Data Analytics project at the Alan Turing Institute. Before that, he worked with Taylan Cemgil during his MSc in Computational Science and Engineering at Bogazici University, Turkey. He received his BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same university.
