Biography
Previously, Angus studied at Durham University, obtaining an MSci in Natural Sciences, with his master’s specialising in Quantum Computational Chemistry. After he graduated, he worked for a year at Optellum - a start-up working towards the early diagnosis of lung cancer. His work involved the development and characterisation of deep neural nets designed to detect and classify lung cancer from CT images.
He is now a DPhil student of the Health Data Science CDT course and is supervised by Alison Noble and Yarin Gal.
Research Interests
Interpretable deep learning for medical imaging. Concept-based approaches in particular.
