Biography
Yuzhao joined the Thermal Propulsion Systems Research Group in 2024. Her DPhil research focuses on the computational analysis of cryogenic injection events. Her work involves a combination of computational fluid dynamics and molecular dynamics to capture cryogenic fluid behavior from molecular/micro scale to macro scale.
Before her studies at Oxford, Yuzhao received her Bachelor's degree at Dalian University of Technology, China. She then obtained her Master's degree in power engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, where she worked on boiling bubble dynamics and phase change heat transfer on micro-structured surfaces. Afterward, she worked for two years as an advisor in the field of climate change mitigation.
