Biography
Kae Nicolson completed their BSc in Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada in 2022. During this time they spent two years as an undergraduate research assistant for Prof. Hyun-Joong Chung developing a biomimetic synthetic aorta for use in ex-vivo heart perfusion devices. Kae commenced their DPhil at the Oxford Centre for Tissue Engineering and Bioprocessing in October 2022. Their research focuses on the use of extracellular vesicles for skin wound healing, and they are supervised by Professor Cathy Ye and Professor Malavika Nair.
