Biography
Jiayao obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Tongji University, China, where she was mainly involved in the dynamic modelling and experimental study of (onshore) wind turbines. She was then admitted as a DPhil student at the University of Oxford in 2020 and moved on to explore the dynamics of floating wind turbine structures.
Research Interests
- The development and validation of an integrated simulation approach for the three-dimensional floating wind turbine dynamical system.
- The development of accurate wave- platform interaction models with realistic computational expense, which can capture the geometrical non-linearity induced by large platform motions.
- The exploration of an appropriate response analysis approach for deeper insights into the nonlinear dynamics of floating wind turbines.
