Biography
Dr Ibrahim Bello obtained a BEng (2006) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (Nigeria), MSc (2010) in Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications from the University of Liverpool and PhD (2017) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton. During his PhD, he investigated energy-efficient Application Specific Integrated Circuits for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output wireless communications.
From 2011 to 2018, Ibrahim was with the Ahmadu Bello University as a lecturer with the Department of Computer Engineering. He joined the Energy and Power Group in 2019 as a researcher, where he is presently working on the development of low-cost and robust microgrid systems for off-grid communities in Africa and South East Asia.
