Biography
Simge Bahcevanci was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Izmir Institute of Technology in 2017, ranking first in her year. She then moved into the field of Biomedical Engineering, beginning a Master’s degree in 2018 before cutting it short to take up a DPhil in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Oxford in September of that year. Currently in the third year of her DPhil, Simge’s research includes tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, and the use of biomaterials in scaffold development and characterisation.
