Biography
Dr Salimi completed a PhD in vibroacoustic condition monitoring at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton. He has a strong track record of securing funding from reputable organisations, including the UK Government and various investors. Additionally, he has successfully competed for start-up support from accelerators.
A significant part of his work has involved drafting proposals for a variety of funding bodies, such as Innovate UK, Horizon Europe 2020, EPSRC, and other funding opportunities available in the market. This involves creating detailed and persuasive proposals to secure funding for a range of research projects and initiatives. Before joining here, he was engaged at an innovation centre within The Welding Institute (TWI) in Cambridge, leading projects focused on power ultrasonics.

Current Projects
Catalytic Sonochemistry for Clean Hydrogen from Ammonia
This project aims to enhance the process of decomposing ammonia through the use of ultrasonic waves. We believe that using tiny catalysts to create bubbles can facilitate the rapid heating and cooling of ammonia, which could help us overcome the usual challenges of breaking down ammonia.
