Biography
Ji Qin graduated with a Master's degree in Mobile and Personal Communications from King's College London in 2023, following her Bachelor's degree in Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering from Tianjin University in 2022. During her Master's program, her research project focused on the analysis of data security and information leakage within the federated learning structure. She also designed a new algorithm based on the Differential Privacy method, thereby improving security for secure distributed AI systems.
For her undergraduate studies, Ji Qin was involved in designing and developing a mid-infrared germanium-based waveguide phase shifter that can be used to achieve transparency over three atmospheric windows, specifically covering the wavelengths of 2-2.5 micrometers, 3-5 micrometers, and 8-12 micrometers. Additionally, she conducted a performance analysis of the waveguide system.
Ji Qin has recently (October 2023) embarked on her DPhil journey in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Her academic journey is under the supervision of Dr. Chao He, Prof. Stephen Morris, and Prof. Steve Elston. She is also a graduate student at Jesus College.
