Biography
Ioannis studied civil engineering in University of Thessaly in Greece, specialising in geotechnical engineering. For his diploma thesis he investigated the response of thermal piles in sandy soils using FEM.
He then moved in London where he undertook the MSc Soil Mechanics & Environmental Geotechnics. For his Master thesis he investigated the assessment of factors of safety for a laterally loaded offshore monopile problem using F.E.M.
Since October 2019, Ioannis has been a DPhil student at the department of Engineering Science of the University of Oxford for the WAMESS CDT program and he is funded by Ørsted.
